The Heart, the Mind and Love

Love is poetic
Love is dark
It defies everything; even destiny
Creeping into our heart
With its many rhymes
Slowly taking its own time
        And even in darkness and despair
        The heart is so sweet
        The heart is so pure
         Loving the unmatched
         Carefree in its self absorbed fantasy
         Fervently beating for you
         Pledging not to be
         Forever mine
Through all of this
There are nights
Where you lay awake
For the mind is insane
Drifting along thoughts
Knowing no limits
Lending endless musings
From the heart
And then transform them
Into poems, stories and books
           Love is a tragedy
           Like a wild flower
           That blossoms on its own
            Like the gentle wind
           Caressing your face
           On a cold winter night
            Love is inevitable

There are people
Who say are in love
With you
And I can't say
That nobody will love you
Like I do

But with you
I have seen happy days
And there were darker times
That we went through
And may be it is the dark
That has kept me
Close to you

I can't see
What future holds
For you and me
Or where we would be
But today
I am the one for you
To make you smile
To make you fight
To love you

ख्वाबों की पेटी

कुछ ख्वाबों की राख
आज एक पुराने डब्बे में मिली
चंद मुडे पन्ने
उनपे लिखे कुछ नगमे

पहले इश्क़ का इज़हार
कमीनो दोस्तों का प्यार
कुछ हसीन पल
और यादों की बौछार

वो छोटी बातों पे
माशूका का रूठ जाना
उस एक की मुस्कान पे
हज़ारों का मर जाना

जब ज़िन्दगी बड़ी थी
और ख्वाइशें छोटी
इन कत्ल हुए ख्वाबों में
शायद ज़िन्दा हैं कुछ आज भी

एक भीनी सी खुसबू
कुछ आँखों मे नमी
बंद लबों पे ले आते हैं जो
एक प्यारी सी हँसी

LIFE IS ALL ABOUT

A line that I wrote
Words that I spoke
Lessons that I learnt

A promise that I fulfilled
A dream that I followed
A passion that I didn't let go

The one who laughed at stupid jokes
Brought smile across faces
Of those whom I loved the most

Those who think I am arrogant
To the ones
Whom I gave hope

My love for food
And on a lighter note
The hearts that I broke

Moonlight

Let's dance all night
With stars shinning bright
Like little unicorns
Under the moonlight

Let me pull you into my arms
And hold tight
Make u feel what love is made of
And what its beauty is like

Like the calm ocean
Holding the elegance of the night
Like the silver lining on the shore
On a full moon night

Gleaming through the darkness
Amidst the charred fate
A soul in plight
You walked into my life
My moonlight

FOREVER

I have fallen in love
And it's not for the first time
It's a place I had already been
But this time it's for real
And I think you know
What I mean

God graced me with your smile
And your face so serene
Words are not enough
To express the way you make me feel
I love you is all I know for sure
And with each passing day
It grows more and more


I don't want to remember
How long it has been
As long as forever
I shall hold onto thee
On an endless journey
To the heavenly blue
Because even forever is not long enough
To make me feel

हकीकत और ख्वाब के बीच जो फासला है
आज वहां मिलते हैं

ठहर सी गयी है ज़िन्दगी
इस इश्क़ में
चल एक दूजे की बाहों में
हम आज पिघलते हैं

यूँ ही देखते देखते
ना गुज़र जाए ज़िन्दगी
इन बीतते पलों की
आज कुछ हसीन यादें बुनते हैं

हर मोड़ पे एक सवाल लिए
खड़ी है जिंदगी
चल हम आज उनके जवाब ढूंढते हैं

THE VOW

I vow to be with you
In every move you make
In every smile that you fake
In every breath you breathe
Every time your heart skips a beat


I know it took time for me to know
What you tried so not to show
How foolish of me
Those feelings in your eyes
I just couldn't see

I vow to be with you
When there is sadness
When there is gladness
Amidst the world's madness

You had told yourself years ago
You'd never let your feelings show
Drift far away from me

कैसे बताएं तुम्हें

कैसे बताएं तुम्हें
के कितने मजबूर हो जाते हैं
तुम आते हो जब सामने
तो सारे गम दूर हो जाते हैं

तुम सामने होते हो तो
आँखों में तुम ही तुम बस जाते हो
एक ख्वाब की तरह
और मानो उस एक पल के लिए
इन धड़कनो को
ना धड़कना भी कबूल हो जैसे

कैसे बताएं तुम्हें
के कितने मजबूर हो जाते हैं
तुम आते हो जब सामने
तो सारे गम दूर हो जाते हैं

जो तुम दूर चले जाते हो
तो ख्वाब भी फीके लगते हैं
रंग रहता है, रूप रहता है
आँखें निहारती तो रहती हैं
मगर उन में खुशबू नहीं होती
मानो के कागज़ के  फूल हो जैसे

कैसे बताएं तुम्हें
के कितने मजबूर हो जाते हैं
तुम आते हो जब सामने
तो सारे गम दूर हो जाते हैं

WHAT IS LOVE

Love, an unconditional feeling. Once for sure each one of us has fallen for someone and vowed to stay together forever.

But is it love when you need to keep showing the world that how much you love each other. Is it love if you have to keep bragging about it in front of your friends about the qualities of each other. Is it love when you need to keep on proving your trust for each other. Is it love if you need to keep on reminding your partner about it. Think again.

And whenever I speak these words, people ask me that what according to you is love. For me love is the feeling of respect for each other. Love is when I hold her in my arms and she asks, "Why do you love me so much" and with a smile I say " I don't know".  For me, love is she.

CORPORATE LIFE:II

Every morning you wake up
To see the stranger in the mirror
Weary eyes staring right back at thee
Searching for answers inside of thee
Is this what you wanted to be

Every day you hate the morning sun
Its time for you to wake up and run
For each day
You must have a perfect game to play
Because you cannot afford to be second to none

In a place where everyone hunts and kills
For if you don't
You will be hunted to the ground
A marketplace to sell your skills
Where money can buy anything
And even screams don't make any sound

It is not destiny's fault
For you knew this would happen
When you chose this path
A world full of I's
And no place for we
Your conscience is searching for thee

WHERE AM I

From underneath the trees
I watch the sky
Twinkling stars

BEHIND THE BLUE SKIES

There is a place where the road ends
Past the long curve where it bends
Just after when it gets slow
At the door of the mighty where everyone bows

There is a place where everything changes
Directions change and a different street begins
A place you have never been
Where you are rewarded for your good deeds
And questioned for your sins

There is a place where you don't have to tell lies
Where you don't have to live in disguise
Where you don't have to see the hypocrite eyes
There is this place behind the blue skies

FADE AWAY

They say it's unhealthy for my soul
To live with a heart so cold
Don't know since when I am falling down
It seems to be endless now
Searching for that ray of hope
Waiting for someone to hold

And if you enter my empty heart
Full of stabs and torn apart
Putting all the pain aside

In the darkness of the thickening night
With shadows of an empty heart
I stare at the glowing moon all night

Underneath the moon, I miss you every night
Without you my love even  the sun ain't bright

Make you feel special

And with each passing day I love you more

I miss you badly and there are tears in my eyes
Backstabbed, heartbroken trust and lies
I have seen it all but never cried
But without you my dear
Even the rivers run dry
I am far from you yet always by your side

Bliss in ignorance

Oh what an unhappy twist of fate
I have seen off late
Destiny seems to be taking a revenge on me
I am no longer the master of my fate

Everyday starts with a hope of something better
Hope to make it bigger
But i keep falling like a feather
And it cant get worse either

No time to ease my heart
No sleep to rest my brain
Time fades away in the blink of an eye
Hurt and wounded all over
But no time to heal the pain

Filled with lonely nights
And memories of thee
I never know what tomorrow is going to be
Feels like i have lost a part of me

LOVE

Love is not a game to play
It is not just a word to say
It does not start in march and end in may
It is there everyday

It is not to say in morning
And meeting in the evening
It is a feeling of the heart
Which is there to stay

It is not saying someone
How pretty they are
It is not praising the beauty of one
It is not complementing someone all the time

It is telling someone that she is the one
Laughing at her stupidity
Smiling at her innocence
Not be afraid to tell the truth
It is about keeping our secret
Not about keeping my secret
It is about standing by their side
And being honest to them no matter what

IF I COULD REWIND TIME

If I could rewind time
I would relive those days
When I was not one among the crowd
Racing against time in the streets

When the heart knew no fear
And happiness meant sleeping in the arms of someone dear
When wishes were fulfilled by falling stars
Fighting for the TV remote was the biggest war

When success meant getting permission to play for hours
And failure was just a random word
When chocolates and not accolades meant rewards
And I was not chained up
But free to fly like a bird

When playgrounds were there to play
And not to stop and stare
It was just joy all around
Sorrow was a million miles away

If I could rewind time
I would relive those days
When I was never alone
Because the moon followed me everywhere

CORPORATE LIFE

Today when i woke up
To the morning sun
My room was full of light
No soothing sweet music
Just the harsh sound of alarm

Though I wanted to sleep more
I could not have stayed in bed
I stood by my window
Took a look outside
The streets were full of rush
Soon I would be by their side

No time to listen to my favorite band
Or dance to my favorite song
Its been too long I last saw them
My childhood friends; I used to play along
Is this what I wanted
When I was a teenager

Just in my twenties
running hard on my knees
Looking for a stable ground
Where I could stand on my feet


That's when I realized
Those days are gone
When little things meant much
And everything was fun
In my mind I stand with a simple doubt
Is this what I wanted
I always had dreamed off
