That's all a poet needs for writing

WHO WAS I??

Sometimes a thought tickles my mind
And to find peace
I sit alone
And give myself sometime

What would have I been in my last life
Was I a scribbler
Or a hard worker in the mines
A courageous fighter
Or among the world's top minds

A lover of rock music
Or a monk in temples and shrines
A Cassanova or a boy too shy
The thoughts keep flowing
Still I wonder who was I?

A Jew in times of Hitler
Who went under the knife
Or a leader like Gandhi
Who inspired many lives

These are just intuitions
No matter how much I think
The question still remains unanswered
Who was I in my past life?

WHAT ABOUT NOW

Last night we fought
You ran away
The room was dark
You were not there
And the silent wind had something to say

But what about now
What about today
What about all those moments we shared

Its been just a day
I'm feeling the pain
Everything seems lost
Nothing to gain

Moments of joy, happiness of your face
I want to feel them again
Scars and burns
Like I am living in hell
And I am pleading guilty

So what about now

What about everything we did

POWER OF NATURE

Have you ever walked down alongside a river
And soaked your feet in it
Wished life to be a little less complicated
And things always turn out the way you want them to be
That's what nature can do
It makes you listen to the inner voice of you

Have you ever climbed a mountain
Or made your way through heavy rain
Wondering life has so much similarity
You need to cross hurdles to reach your aim
And gave a huge boost to your self belief
That's what nature can do
It puts strength in you

Have you ever spread your arms to feel the air
For a moment forgot all your fears
Opened your eyes to the setting sun
Falling prey to its beauty
And took a sigh of relief
That's what nature can do
It makes you fall in love with you

SECRETS!!

I want to tell you all my secrets
But I have none
There is nothing that you don't know
My life is a book wide open

Let the matter be
Leave it alone
At times there are misunderstandings
We both have our own confusion
But now everything is sorted said and sone..

I don't know where this will go
But I"ll always need you as a friend for sure
And no matter what happens
I can't stay mad at you
Despite everyone filling the empty spaces
There is always a void in my world without you..

I will never forget those words
I heard today from her mouth
I am way up north
She is so down south
There is distance and a lot of miles to stitch
But time's an even bigger bitch

She thinks that something has gone wrong
I am not interested anymore, I want to move on
I said to her, she makes me feel strong
She is the only one who makes my heart warm
And when I meet her, I'll hold her in my arms
Then I'll love her just like a love song..

Sitting here all alone, I write you a song
Baby you're so far away yet so near
I'll sing it to you, when I meet you dear
The winds make me feel you, here by the lake shore
You are the one I love and I want more....
